Former Texan and current free agent kicker Neil Rackers has been looking for potential homes.
From John McClain of the Houston Chronicle:
K Neil Rackers, who did a terrific job for Texans last 2 seasons, visited Redskins. Texans don't have a kicker.
— John McClain (@McClain_on_NFL) April 24, 2012
Rackers spent the last two seasons in Houston making 32 of 38 field-goal attempts in 2011 and 27 of 30 in 2010. He has made at least 75 percent of his field-goal attempts in nine of the last 10 seasons, but at 36 years old, Rackers' age is a concern.
As McClain mentioned, the Texans currently are without a kicker. Many of the top free-agent kickers were given the franchise tag by their respective teams, so there aren't a ton of great options for Houston. It is possible the Texans could draft a kicker for the first time in their history.
