The Houston Texans previously held the No. 58 overall pick, but they decided to make a trade with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Texans traded the No. 58 pick and their seventh-round pick which is 233rd overall to the Bucs in exchange for the No. 68 pick and their fourth-round selection which is the No. 126 pick.
The move now leaves the Texans with no second round pick and their next pick will come at the newly acquired No. 68 pick from the Bucs. The Texans are moving back since they are looking to gain value and not reach for the player they may have taken at No. 58 since he should be there at No. 68.
The Bucs used the 58th pick to go ahead and select Nebraska Cornhusker linebacker Lavonte David.
