NFL Draft 2012: Houston Texans Select Brandon Brooks At No. 76

With the No. 76 pick of the 2012 NFL Draft, the Houston Texans have selected Brandon Brooks, a very versatile offensive lineman who can play all over the line from the Miami RedHawks. Brooks was expected to be a late second round pick so these results are somewhat surprising. However, Brooks was not invited to the combine, so in a sense he was overlooked in that process.

Brooks played 45 games for the Redhawks during his five years of time with Miami, playing left tackle and guard as well as right guard for a while in 2010.

The Texans next pick will be the No. 99 overall selection in the fourth round.
