2012 NFL Draft: Bruce Irvin Schedules Visit With Texans, Others

West Virginia's Bruce Irvin is seeing an increase in his draft stock and has scheduled visits with at least 12 teams including the Houston Texans leading up to the draft.

Irvin is appealing to both teams that run the 3-4 defense as an outside linebacker and to 4-3 defenses as a defensive end. Among other teams that Irvin is scheduled to visit are the Titans, Patriots, Panthers, Jets, 49ers, Dolphins, Chiefs, Browns and Bears. The Texans are looking for pass rushing help after losing Mario Williams in free agency.

As a 6-foot-3, 245-pound linebacker, Irvin finished with 40 total tackles, eight sacks and three forced fumbles as a senior at West Virginia. He played sparingly as a junior but had 14 sacks and projects as a solid pass rusher on the edge.
