The Tennessee Titans have signed former Houston Texans linebacker Zac Diles, who was a victim of the changeover when Wade Phillips and the 3-4 defensive alignment came in last season. Diles was a seventh round pick out of Kansas State in 2007 and played in 50 games for the Texans, including 30 starts.
Diles has been the definition of a journeyman since, heading first to St. Louis before being cut during training camp, and then stops in Tampa and Baltimore. In 61 career games, Diles has recorded 154 tackles, one sack, one interception and three forced fumbles. Diles projects to be a backup outside linebacker for the Titans.
The Titans also signed fullback Colin Mooney from Army, post-committment. Mooney is a West Point graduate who spent the last three years serving in the Army. He ran for 1,339 yards as a senior in 2008.
