It's the beginning of a new era for the Houston Texans, as the Texans are not only coming off their first-ever playoff appearance, but they also head into their first offseason without Mario Williams. On Wednesday, the NFL announced offseason organized team activity and minicamp dates.
Houston's OTA and minicamp dates are as follows:
OTAs: May 21-22, May 24, May 29-31, June 4-7
Mandatory minicamp: June 12-14
2012 will mark the first year since 2010 that teams get to conduct a full offseason, as 2011 was interrupted by the lockout.
A lot has changed in the AFC South over the past year. No longer the upstart near playoff team, the Texans will likely enter 2012 as the favorites to win the AFC South, as the Indianapolis Colts have officially begun their rebuilding phase, cutting ties with Peyton Manning and drafting Andrew Luck with the No. 1 overall pick.
