According to Scout.com, the Houston Texans have signed fullback Moran Norris. This will be Norris' second go round with the Texans. He last played in Houston from 2002 to 2005, starting 18 games over that span.
The 33-year-old back last played for the San Francisco 49ers.
Norris is a 6-foot-1, 250-pounder from the University of Kansas who has also played for the New Orleans Saints and the Detroit Lions.
He has rushed for 67 career yards and one touchdown.
While in San Francisco, Norris lost his starting job to an unproven rookie in Bruce Miller. The Texans have two rookie fullbacks on their roster in Jason Ford and Derrell Smith but are hoping that Norris will be the guy who will clear the way for their superstar running back, Arian Foster, this season.
