NFL Preseason Power Rankings: Texans Ranked Just Below League's Top Teams

The Houston Texans have been ranked at the "next level" in preseason power rankings from NFL.com, placing them one level below the top teams in the league. "The Texans' young defense is scary," the rankings say, "their roster doesn't have many holes."

That ranking is consistent with others given to the team prior to the start of camp. SB Nation ranked the Texans No. 5 in their preseason rankings, based on an average ranking by all 32 NFL bloggers. With the team making their first ever playoff run in 2011, expectations are high for the upcoming season. That said, they've seen changes to the roster and have a good deal of uncertainty at the quarterback position. They're certainly capable of a lot, but they'll have to stay focused to make the most of it.
