The record number of people in attendance at Day 3 of the Houston Texans training camp exceeded well over 5,000 on Monday. This shows you how much the fan base is behind this team, which most experts are picking to win the AFC South division and contend for a Super Bowl.
Texans set an attendance record of 5,715 today, breaking the record of 5,012 set Saturday, the first day of practice.

It does beg the question, though: do these people work? Neither the national, global, or local economy are necessarily doing so well, but the Houston unemployment rate is a tad bit under the national level, and folks gotta work to keep this city moving.
But forget that, for now. The Texans are on their way to the Super Bowl, or so the story goes.
Really, though. To have more people there on a Monday than a Saturday (even though Monday was the first full pads practice) is kind of telling.
