Texans Defensive Coordinator Wade Phillips Believes J.J. Watt Is Future Hall Of Famer

Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt apparently has some very big fans among his coaches. The 2011 first-round draft pick is poised to have a breakout season in 2012 and some in the Texans organization seem to be banking on him turning some heads ... and then some.

Defensive coordinator Wade Phillips is not only great at singing the praises of Watt, but of making a solid pun while he's at it. Gregg Rosenthal at NFL.com grabbed these comments from Phillips.

"(Watt's) going to be a bust -- not a first-round bust but a bust in the Hall of Fame," defensive coordinator Wade Phillips said Monday, via the Houston Chronicle. "The only players I've seen that can do what he can do with his intensity can be found in Canton."

Phillips compared Watt to Howie Long in terms of quickness and also gave him high marks for football smarts. The defensive coordinator believes Watt is on his way to becoming a "megastar." Texans fans will certainly hope Phillips ends up being correct.
