Duane Brown Injury: Left Tackle Injures Leg At Practice On Wednesday

The Houston Texans got a bit of a scare on Wednesday, as starting left tackle Duane Brown suffered a lower leg injury in practice:

Brown's injury probably wasn't too serious, as he did participate in several plays before leaving the field under his own power. However, anytime a player as big as an offensive lineman goes down, there's no telling what underlying damage could be caused by the fall.

Brown, a 6'4 320 LT from Virginia Tech, is one of the rising stars in the NFL. The No. 26 overall selection by the Texans in the 2008 draft, he has started all 60 games in his young career so far while avoiding any serious injury scares.

In 2011, he was named a second-team All-Pro, and with a fairly immobile QB in Matt Schaub behind him, he'll be expected to be a brick wall on the blind side in 2012.
