On Sunday night, Houston Texans fans saw a welcome sight, as quarterback Matt Schaub played in his first game since Nov. 13. When the Texans take on the 49ers in their second preseason game on Saturday, Texans fans will likely see another one of their star players on the field.
Andre Johnson, who missed Sunday's game because of a groin injury, is expected to play Saturday when the Texans host the 49ers. Johnson practiced all week leading up to Houston's preseason opener against the Carolina Panthers, but Gary Kubiak and Houston's coaching staff opted to hold Johnson out of the first preseason game.
Assuming all goes well this week in practice, Schaub should be throwing to Johnson on Saturday night, for the first time in a game in roughly nine months.
