Andre Johnson didn't practice with Texans on Wednesday since he's still recovering from a pulled groin, but the superstar wide receiver did run with the team's athletic trainer Geoff Kaplan. Head coach Gary Kubiak told the media that Johnson "looked good" in his workout with Kaplan and the timetable for his return is still hopeful for Monday.
"I don't know if that's Monday, but... I think we're fine there. I know we're going to be fine," Kubiak said. "We've got some time to make up for and he knows that, but I've got to do the right thing, too."
With Johnson sidelined and the No. 3 wide receiver spot still up for the taking, there was some wide receiver shuffling at camp on Wednesday. All of the candidates for the third spot are capable, but Kubiak says none of them have separated themselves from the group just yet.
Rookie fourth-round pick Keshawn Martin received first-team reps opposite Kevin Walter, while veteran Bryant Johnson saw first-team reps as well. Lestar Jean and rookie third-round selection DeVier Posey both ran with the second team on Wednesday.
