Is Andre Johnson A Hall Of Fame Receiver?

After this weekend's Hall of Fame induction, it's only natural to start looking around the league and projecting who might join players like Curtis Martin one day.

One player with a complicated case is Andre Johnson. The Houston Chronicle wonders if Johnson, who it feels has the credentials, can stay on the field enough to make it to Canton.

"Andre’s a great, great player, but there’s the question of injuries," said former defensive end Howie Long, an NFL studio analyst for Fox Sports. "If he stays healthy, I think he can (make it)."

Johnson has been on the sideline often lately, missing 12 games over the last two seasons. He is currently nursing a minor groin strain but expects to practice on Monday.

Consistency is on his side, though. Johnson is the only receiver in NFL history to have at least 60 catches in his first eight seasons.
