Peyton Manning Beware: J.J. Watt Wants To Sack No. 18

Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt realizes that he's already made the transition to being one of the game's greatest defensive players. Just two weeks into the season, Watt ranks second in the league in sacks with three.

Let's be real, though. The Texans haven't played anybody yet. Those 20-point victories against the Dolphins and Jaguars are what this team should expect against struggling squads like that.

Watt's sacks have come against rookie Ryan Tannehill and not-so-impressive sophomore Blaine Gabbert. It's clear through these comments that Watt is anxious to finally perform against another one of the game's greats.

"I've always said you want the best," Watt said. "You don't earn your stripes playing against inferior competition you want to play against the best every single time and that's a chance to prove yourself."

Watt was named the AFC's defensive player of the week following his 1.5 sack performance against the Jags on Sunday. That's not going to be enough, though.

"I want to have No. 18 on my sack list. That's my goal."
