Texans vs. Broncos 2012: Game Preview, Kickoff Time, TV Schedule And More

The Texans stingy pass defense, ranked No. 1 in the NFL, could give Peyton Manning fits after the veteran quarterback's shaky first quarter in Week 2.

The Houston Texans will look to start a season 3-0 for the first time in franchise history when they take on the Denver Broncos in a Week 3 matchup with the Denver Broncos.

The Texans are coming off a pair of lopsided wins, after beating the Miami Dolphins 30-10 in their season-opener and downing the Jacksonville Jaguars 27-7 in Week 2. Houston has relied on their workhorse running back Arian Foster (54 carries, 189 yards and three touchdowns in 2012) and boast a rushing attack that is ranked sixth in the NFL. But it's not all offense when it comes to the Texans, their stingy pass defense is the best in the NFL as they allow just 124 passing yards per game.

The Broncos will be the first Texans opponent that isn't easily overmatched. Denver (1-1) opened their 2012 campaign strong with a win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, but suffered a disappointing 27-21 loss to the Atlanta Falcons last Sunday. Quarterback Peyton Manning has been a bit schizophrenic in his first two starts back from a neck injury which cost him the entire 2011 season. After throwing two touchdowns and finishing with a 129.2 passer rating in the Broncos Week 1 game, Manning looked awful in the first quarter in Week 2, throwing three interceptions in the first eight minutes of play. He finished the game 24-of-37 for 241 yards and a touchdown.
