The Houston Texans trail the Miami Dolphins, 3-0, after the first quarter at Reliant Stadium. A Dan Carpenter 39-yard field goal was the only score of the game, as the veteran kicker split the uprights on Miami's second possession.
The Houston offense moved the ball on their first possession, but Shayne Graham missed a 52-yard field goal and the Texans came up empty-handed. It looked like they might score a touchdown on their first drive of the season, but a Matt Schaub pass to Lestar Jean in the left corner of the end zone was ruled out-of-bounds. The Texans challenged the call, but the incomplete ruling was upheld on review.
Through the first 15 minutes, Schaub is three of seven for 43 yards. Arian Foster has carried the ball five times for 20 yards.
