SB Nation released its final NFL power rankings of the regular season Wednesday, and the Houston Texans stood pat at No. 7 heading into the postseason.
SB Nation's Joel Thorman still feels good about the Texans' chances in the first round of the playoffs:
7. Houston Texans (LW: 7, 12-4): They were the best team for most of the season, they have one of the best rushing attacks in the NFL, their quarterback is in the Pro Bowl and they're a top-10 defense. I think they'll be OK.
The Texans just completed their best season in franchise history according to their won-lost record, and they head into the postseason as AFC South champions for the second-straight season. They host the Cincinnati Bengals in the first round of the playoffs Saturday at 3:30 p.m. CT on NBC.
The Bengals, who finished the regular season with a 10-6 record and are the No. 5 seed in the AFC, were ranked No. 9 in SB Nation's power rankings.
The Kansas City Chiefs finished the season with the dubious honor of the No. 32 ranking.
