Grambling Edges MVSU, Will Face Jackson State

The #6-seed Grambling State Tigers knocked off third-seeded Mississippi Valley State, 65-62, to set up an all-Tigers semifinal showdown with Jackson State on Friday.

Justin Patton contributed 25 points and 8 rebounds for Grambling State, both game-highs.

While the Delta Devils (23-of-51) shot better than the Tigers (18-of-54), it was Grambling State who had a 16-point edge in free throw scoring on the game.

Center Paul Crosby led MVSU with 16 points in the season-ending loss.
