The Texas-San Antonio Roadrunners visit Rice Stadium for the first time in history on Saturday. The nonconference contest kicks off at 2:30 p.m. CT. The game will be televised on Fox College Sports and broadcast on radio on Yahoo! Sports 1560 AM, Houston, and KTKR 760 AM San Antonio.
The Owls (1-5, 0-3 C-USA) are three-point favorites on most books over the Roadrunners (5-0, 1-0 WAC). Rice opened as a five-point favorite, at home.
UTSA's opponents thus far in 2012 have a combined record of 3-25, and they have played only two FBS teams who have a cumulative record of 2-9. Rice's lone victory came on the road at the expense of Kansas, 25-24.
The Roadrunners are in their first full season of Football Bowl Subdivision play.
Former Rice quarterback and All-American Tommy Kramer will be honored at the game Saturday. Kramer will be inducted into the National Football Foundation College Football Hall of Fame on Dec. 4.
