Baseball America released its latest Top 25 list of the best college teams in the nation and the Rice Owls are ranked No. 5, a spot up from their previous ranking last week. Texas A&M dropped a spot in the poll sitting in the No. 10 spot.
The Owls are coming off a weekend series against the University of Houston Cougars, which saw Rice take two out of three games from the in-town rivals. The Aggies faced Texas Tech over the weekend after pounding Sam Houston State in the middle of the week, 10-0. Texas A&M won two out of three against Tech, just like the Owls did against Houston, but the Aggies dropped the last game in extra innings.
The Baylor Bears are still the No. 2-ranked team in the nation. Sam Houston and the Texas Longhorns dropped out of the Top 25. Here is a complete look at the Baseball America Top 25 list:
