Rice Vs. Kansas Halftime Score: Owls Trail Jayhawks 17-13

The Rice Owls are are hanging tough against the Kansas Jayhawks and are only trailing 17-13 at the break. The Owls scored 10 second-quarter points to cut into the Jayhawks' lead. The touchdown for Rice came when running back Turner Petersen capped off a very lengthy 16-play, 94-yard drive by scoring on a 1-yard touchdown run.

The other score was a 29-yard field goal by Chris Boswell with 29 seconds left in the half. Kansas got on the board when Schyler Miles scored on his only carry so for on the game from 1-yard out.

Turnovers have plagued both teams as Rice has given up the ball three times while Kansas has turned over the ball two times.
