Texas A&M Athletic Director Bill Byrne Responds: 'I Know Vandalism When I See It'

The vandalism of the Texas A&M buses prior to their game against Texas Tech is taking a life of its own. Texas Tech responded by saying that Texas A&M athletic director Bill Byrne was being irresponsible with social media, and that the buses were vandalized with washable shoe polish and fish bait. and not feces or spray paint. Texas Tech also is saying that the buses were cleaned prior to Byrnes tweet or before any Texas A&M official saw the buses.

Now, Byrne is striking back and responded to Texas Tech's claim that Byrne was not truthful:

"I don't feel the need to defend my comments about the incident in Lubbock," Byrne wrote in his Weekly Wednesday column posted on the athletic department's website. "Whatever was thrown on that bus sure stunk and I know vandalism when I see it."

Hopefully, this is the end of what happened to the Texas A&M buses however Byrne felt the need to comment about Texas Tech fans that booed and accused Texas A&M defenders were faking injuries to slow down Texas Tech's offense.

With this incident it will probably be a long time before these teams play each other since Texas A&M is off to the SEC.
