Kansas Vs. Texas A&M Update: Aggies Open Up A Can, Lead Jayhawks 23-0 After First Quarter

The Texas A&M Aggies haven't wasted any time lighting up the Kyle Field scoreboard in College Station, as Mike Sherman's bunch has opened up a 23-0 lead over the Kansas Jayhawks after one quarter of play.

Two rushing touchdowns by Cyrus Gray and a passing touchdown from Ryan Tannehill to Ryan Swope have put the Kansas defense to shame thus far. Gray scored from 30 and 36 yards out as he has just 5 carries for 77 yards already in one quarter. Tannehill's pass to Swope was a 27-yard pitch and catch, and the touchdown pass was Tannehill's 24th of the season.

For Turner Gill, the story is the same. The offense can't get started early and the defense digs a major hole for them to climb out of. The Jayhawks have just 46 total yards to show for their first quarter efforts.
