Texas A&M's defense came up with a couple of bend but don't break stops in the second quarter holding the Sooners to two field goals and Ryan Tannehill and the Aggies offense finally hit a home run on offense to cut Oklahoma's lead to 13-10.
Oklahoma kicker Michael Hunnicutt nailed two field goals of 29 and 39 yards in length which is no small feat given the windy conditions in Oklahoma today. Texas A&M hasn't been able to come up with a sustainable drive but finally broke through with a big play late in the second quarter. Ryan Tannehill scrambled out of the pocket and found Ryan Swope for a 79 yard touchdown that cut the lead to 13-10 heading into the second half.
The blustery conditions are wreaking havoc on both quarterbacks. Landry Jones has completed 10 of 26 passes for 112 yards and no touchdowns in the first half. His counterpart Ryan Tannehill is just 9 for 22 for 156 yards with a touchdown and an interception. Roy Finch leads Oklahoma on the ground with 45 yards on 11 carries while Christine Michael has 51 yards on 11 carries for the Aggies.
