Aggies Land A Five-Star Transfer

The #AGSWAG movement has extended to players currently in college, as former Brookshire Royal running back (and Rivals' 5-star recruit) Brandon Williams has decided to transfer from Oklahoma to Texas A&M.

↵

Williams is citing hardship in needing to move closer to his family as the reason and hoping the NCAA will grant him an exception so he doesn't lose a year of eligibility. If that happens, he'll join Trey Williams and Christine Michael in what could be a loaded Aggie backfield.

↵

Add all that to the fact new head coach Kevin Sumlin is something of an offensive savant and the news should be very positive for the Aggies. I'll have some more extended thoughts on the #AGSWAG stuff on Tuesday, since I thought about it quite a bit this weekend as I watched the UIL state championships.

↵

For now, Aggie fans can rest easy knowing that the charismatic Sumlin isn't losing his mojo in Aggieland. If he can get Williams and hold this recruiting class together, Texas A&M will be in a good starting place for next year's SEC move.
