Aggie Men's Basketball In Trouble?

The Texas A&M men's basketball team is on a two-game losing streak now, having fallen to the Rice Owls on Thursday after losing big to Florida last Saturday.

This is not good for the Aggies. Not only are they playing with a new coach, but they're also in a bit of a transition year. They're dealing with a couple of new players in the lineup and have been without star Kris Middleton for much of the season.

↵

That's still no excuse for getting run off the court against the Gators or losing by eight to the Owls at home. Adding to the trouble, head coach Billy Kennedy has missed time fighting the early stages of Parkinson's disease and has publicly questioned the Aggies' non-conference schedule.

↵

If that's not enough, the Aggies should be considered a contender to win the Big 12 in their final season there. They've got four starters back from a team that went to the NCAA tournament last year. However, things haven't been rosy lately and they don't look to get better in a hurry.

Injuries have hurt the Aggies, with Middleton, guard Naji Hibbert and forward Kourtney Roberson missing time recently. If A&M can pull it together and get healthy in time for conference play or else it could get ugly in a hurry in Aggieland.
