Texas A&M is looking for its fourth straight win on Saturday when it hosts Stephen F. Austin at Reed Arena. The Aggies have won five of their six games this season in Billy Kennedy's first season on the bench as head coach.
Texas A&M is led by 6-foot-9 junior forward Ray Turner who is averaging a career high 14.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per game this season. Elston Turner (11.0) and David Loubeau (10.8) are also averaging double figure points for the Aggies. Point guard Dash Harris provides Kennedy with a steady floor leader who averages just under five assists per game. Harris has struggled offensively this season and is only hitting 23 percent of his shots thus far this season.
Stephen F. Austin has won two games in a row against mid-major opponents. The Lumberjacks are led by 6-foot-2 guard Antonio Bostic who is averaging 14 points and 4.8 rebounds.
The biggest thing to watch for in this one will be how Stephen F. Austin matches up with the Aggies frontline. Expect Texas A&M to control the glass and the game by controlling tempo.
