NFL Mock Draft 2012: Ryan Tannehill Could Be First Round Pick For Miami Dolphins

Despite missing the Senior Bowl with an injury, Texas A&M quarterback Ryan Tannehill is still expected to be a top pick in the upcoming NFL draft.

The 2012 NFL Draft is rapidly approaching. As more and more college players announce their intent to enter the draft in hopes of turning pro, the possibilities of the impending draft selection gets more complex.

In the latest mock draft at SB Nation, Ryan Van Bibber suggests that Texas A&M Aggies quarterback Ryan Tannehill could go to the Miami Dolphins in the first round as the No. 9 overall selection. Here is his take on the situation:

It's too bad that Tannehill will miss the Senior Bowl. He could have followed Christian Ponder's path, raising his draft stock significantly with a big week in Mobile, AL. Right now, it looks as though he could throw again before the draft. Miami can grab him to sit behind Matt Moore, spend some time learning the ropes.

A broken foot will be keeping Tannehill out of the Senior Bowl on January 28, but is still expected to draw a lot of interest in the draft.
