Aggies Lose To Undefeated Baylor, But Didn't Get Embarrassed

It was another loss in a pretty disappointing start to the season for the Texas A&M men's basketball team. However, if the Aggies were going to lose, at least they lost to Baylor with some dignity.

A&M was a 14-point underdog heading into the game and trailed at one point 28-11. However, they kept the game close and ended with only a nine-point deficit.

The problems that plagued A&M in this one were problems that have cropped up all season. They shot poorly, didn't get enough out of Kris Middleton or David Loubeau and struggled through some disastrous stretches. Seriously, a good team can't miss 10 straight shots and still win a game.

Yet, the Aggies were able to keep it within a few possessions at the end. As Kennedy said:

"I was encouraged that we competed," Kennedy said. "We didn't always do that."

The Big 12 may be down this season, so if the Aggies can play hard, they've got a shot at finishing in the top half of the league. Their streak of making the NCAA tournament may come to an end, but if they play this hard, the've got a better chance than they did a month ago.
