The Texas A&M Aggies basketball woes continued as they lost to the Iowa St. Cyclones today 74-50 and they have now lost four of their last five games. Iowa State rushed out to a 22-9 lead in the first half and ultimately led 42-23 at the half. The second half was closer but Texas A&M was never able to make this contest close.
Iowa State was led by Royce White who had a triple-double with 10 points, 18 rebounds and 10 assists. Iowa State also had five players in double figures with Melvin Ejim who had 15 points on the day.
Texas A&M shot poor from the field by connecting on only 31 percent of their shots and an even worse 18 percent from three-point range by making four of 22. Texas A&M lacked in being aggressive against Iowa State as they only attempted five free throws. Texas A&M was led in scoring by Ray Turner who scored 13 points.
The next chance for redemption for Texas A&M is on Jan. 11 when they travel to Austin to take on their rival the Texas Longhorns.
