Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel's 2012 Heisman Trophy hopes got a little boost after Collin Klein and the Kansas State Wildcats fell to the Baylor Bears on Saturday.

Manziel was 14 for 20 for 267 yards and three touchdowns in the Aggies' 47-28 win over Sam Houston State. He also rushed for 100 yards and two touchdowns in the game.

In doing so, Manziel became the first freshman in NCAA history to throw for 3,000 yards and rush for 1,000 yards in a season. He has 3,047 passing yards and 21 touchdowns and he has rushed for 1114 yards and 17 touchdowns.

According to ESPN.com's Heisman Tracker, Manziel still Klein by quite a bit. Their latest expert's poll only had Manziel garnering two first-place votes compared to Klein's 12. He trails Klein's 71 points by 19.

He did get some distance between himself and Oregon running back Kenjon Barner. Barner only gained 66 yards in a loss to Stanford on Saturday.

The Heisman Trophy will be presented on Saturday, Dec. 8.
