The Texas A&M Aggies are headed to the Cotton Bowl to take on former Big 12 opponent Oklahoma, after the Aggies' first season in the SEC resulted in a 10-2, 6-2 finish. The Aggies could be featuring a Heisman Trophy winner, as freshman quarterback and Heisman favorite Johnny Manziel will take the field against the Sooners on Jan. 4 at Cowboys Stadium.

The Texas Longhorns finished the season in frustrating and disappointing fashion, dropping games against TCU and Kansas State to finish out the year. Losing four total games on the season, Texas will face the Oregon State Beavers in the Valero Alamo Bowl in San Antonio on Dec. 29.

The Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl in Fort Worth will feature the Rice Owls taking on the Air Force Falcons on Dec. 29. Rice finished the year 6-6, and 4-4 in Conference USA, winning four straight to end the season in a run that included a 36-14 win over SMU.

The Meineke Car Care Bowl, in Houston on Dec. 28, will feature the TCU Horned Frogs against the Minnesota Golden Gophers. In total, seven teams from the state of Texas will be playing during bowl season.
