2013 NFL Draft: Texas A&M could have two picks in Top 3

Three of the top 11 picks in Peter Schrager's latest NFL Mock Draft are from Texas A&M, including No. 1 overall pick Luke Joeckel.

USA TODAY Sports

With the NFL season still going and most bowl games not yet finished, NFL mock drafts and NFL draft analysis is still in guess mode in some cases. As such, plenty of different prospects are being put in the Top 5 from various analysts. There are some popular names -- Star Lotulelei out of Utah, a couple of different quarterbacks, Jarvis Jones out of Georgia and plenty of others -- being thrown out as potential top picks in the early stages.

At least one source is throwing a couple of Aggies into the mix at the top of the board, as well.

Two different players from Texas A&M could be making noise if they decide to go out for the NFL draft after their junior years: in Peter Schrager's latest 2013 NFL Mock Draft for FOX Sports, both offensive tackle Luke Joeckel and Damontre Moore are snatched up in the Top 5. Not only are they both Top 5 players, but Joeckel is being projected to go No. 1 overall to the Kansas City Chiefs:

Joeckel — not even ranked in the top 10 of some other mock drafts — is one of the most promising offensive tackle prospects I’ve seen in the past five years.

The Aggies had one other player up near the top of the board, with tackle Jake Matthews going No. 11 to the Arizona Cardinals. That would be the best showing of any school if his mock draft were to end up being true more than four months from now on draft day.
