Texas A&M Aggies quarterback Johnny Manziel is now a 1/10 favorite to win the 2012 Heisman Trophy, according to Oddsshark.com. Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te'o is now listed at 7/2, and Kansas State quarterback Collin Klein has fallen all the way to 20/1.
If he wins, Manziel would be the first freshman to ever win the Heisman Trophy. It's tough to say that he doesn't deserve it, though. Manziel completed over 68% of his passes and threw for 24 touchdowns and eight interceptions, while also running for nearly 1200 yards and 19 touchdowns. He guided the Aggies to a 10-2 year, which was significantly better than most expected for their first season in the SEC. Their only two losses came to two top 10 teams in Florida and LSU, and by a combined eight points.
The Aggies will face the Oklahoma Sooners in the Cotton Bowl, revisiting an old rivalry from the Big 12. The game will kickoff at 8 p.m. ET on Jan. 4.
