It's pretty cool that the new Oakland Raiders coach is a former Texas A&M football player. It's not cool that he's started poaching coaches off new Aggie head coach Kevin Sumlin's staff.
↵That's just what happened this week when Dennis Allen and the Raiders hired defensive line coach Terrell Williams to fill the same post in Oakland.
↵Not only does this put a crimp in Sumlin's coaching staff plans, since he though he was finished filling it out, but it also hurts the Aggies on the recruiting trail. Williams was a valuable member of the Aggie recruiting effort who was a big reason why they landed so many high-profile recruits along the defensive line this season.
↵In moving to the SEC, the Aggies will need a big defensive line to withstand those athletes, so Sumlin's replacement hire will have to be a good one. I have faith in him so far, since he's done a good job of hiring a solid staff. Plus, Sumlin is a solid recruiter himself.
