Texas A&M Vs. Kansas Final Score: Aggies Eliminated With 83-66 Loss

The 2012 Big 12 Championship Tournament rolls right along as the first round continued on Thursday. The No. 9 seed Texas A&M Aggies were hoping to be part of a Cinderella story in their quarterfinal game against the top-seeded Kansas Jayhawks, but fell short of their dreams for a conference championship. The Jayhawks defeated the Aggies by a final score of 83-66.

Although Texas A&M was able to keep the score close for much of the first half, the Jayhawks finally opened a sizable lead in the last five minutes of play before halftime and comfortably held onto that lead throughout the second half.

The lead scorer for the Aggies was Khris Middleton, who finished the game with 24 points, three assists and four steals. Elijah Johnson had a tremendous game for Kansas, picking up 26 points, three rebounds, four assists and two steals.
