Texas A&M, Louisiana Tech Game To Be Broadcast On ESPNU

ESPN released approximately 70 college football games that will be broadcast on their family of networks. One of those games to be announced was the season opening game for the Texas A&M Aggies who travel to play the defending WAC champions Louisiana Tech Bulldogs in Shreveport, La., at the Independence Bowl.

The game takes place on Thursday Aug. 30 at 6:30 p.m. CT and will be broadcast on ESPNU.

This is currently the only Texas A&M football game to have been announced to be on any television network. The SEC did release a partial list of their national schedule for CBS, but that did not feature any Aggie football games. CBS selects games on a week-by-week basis, as does ESPN, so more announcements will be made during the season for televised football games.

Getting back to the season opener against Louisiana Tech in Shreveport, one thing that Texas A&M can be assured of is that there will be no repeat performance of the 2000 Independence Bowl that is now known as the "Snow Bowl."
