The Texas A&M Aggies are 3.5-point favorites against the Oklahoma Sooners in Friday's Cotton Bowl after opening as 4.5-point favorites, according to OddsShark.
After losing their season opener to the Florida Gators, the Aggies bounced back with two five game winning streaks separated by a loss to the LSU Tigers. Leading the way was the eventual Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel at quarterback with 3,419 yards passing and 1,181 yards rushing for a combined 43 touchdowns.
The 2012 season for the Sooners followed a similar path and also ended with a five-game winning streak. The only losses for Oklahoma came against the Kansas State Wildcats and Notre Dame Fighting Irish, who are set to play in the Fiesta Bowl and BCS National Championship Game, respectively.
Odds makers expect points to be put on the scoreboard, as the over/under for the game is set at a very high 72 points. Neither defense has played too poorly in 2012, but the offenses each average over 40 points per game.
