University of Texas Statistical Update: Turnovers Are Costing The 'Horns

Can the Longhorns capitalize on missed opportunities from turnovers? Here's a closer look on turnover struggles and a statistical breakdown on the season thus far for Texas.

Capitalizing on turnovers can make a break a team. For the Mack Brown and his Texas Longhorns, its definitely what's broke a team that's learning on the job.

"We feel like we've missed too many opportunities on our turnovers," Texas coach Mack Brown said during the coaches weekly press conference.

Per Carter Strickland of HornsNation, he outlined specifically about those missed Longhorns' opportunities:

The Longhorns have come up with 13 turnovers this season, and eight have come in two games -- UCLA and Iowa State. All six of their interceptions came in the first four weeks. That's despite the fact Oklahoma and Oklahoma State attempted 91 passes in the last two games.

Texas is coming off of a bye week, after dropping games against Oklahoma and Oklahoma State in the previous two weeks. The Longhorns will face the Kansas Jayhawks on Saturday, Oct. 29 on The Longhorn Network.
