The Texas Longhorns dropped six spots to No. 15 in the Week 7 Coaches' Poll after their home loss to West Virginia. The Longhorns were favorites by a touchdown at home, but Geno Smith and the Mountaineers pulled off the late upset in a shootout in Austin. Newcomer WVU carries the banner for the Big 12 after their win, moving up three spots in the Coaches' Poll to No. 4.
Oklahoma was another beneficiary of the shake up in the top 10, with the Sooners moving up four spots to No. 10 in advance of this week's Red River Rivalry.
