The Texas Longhorns added to their lead over the Iowa St. Cyclones with a field goal to go up, 23-7, after three quarters.
Nick Jordan hit a 37-yard field goal with 10:31 left in the quarter to extend the lead for the No. 17 Longhorns. Jordan's kick capped an 11-play, 55-yard drive for Texas.
The Texas offense has moved easily all day, racking up 490 total yards and 25 first downs against the Cyclones' defense heading into the fourth quarter.
Most of the damage by the Longhorns has been done through the air with David Ash throwing for 324 yards and two touchdowns on 23-of-28 passing. Mike Davis has eight catches for 115 yards and a score.
Iowa St. quarterback Steele Jantz has completed 11-of-22 passing attempts for 101 yards and a completion while also being intercepted once by the Texas defense.
