The Texas Longhorns are stuck in third place in the Big 12 Conference after the latest round of games. Texas took down Iowa State 33-7 over the weekend, their fourth win in a row, to push themselves up to 5-2 and within spitting distance of the top of the conference with the Oklahoma Sooners. Neither of them will likely get a shot at that though, with unstoppable-looking Kansas State ahead of them both.
At the top, the Wildcats are coming off a win over the TCU Horned Frogs and remain the only undefeated team in the conference. The National title-contending Wildcats are looking like they will be impossible to catch at the top with only a scant few games remaining in the season. Their in-state rival, the Kansas Jayhawks, are entrenched at the bottom with no wins.
Here are the full standings for the Big 12:
Kansas State Wildcats | 7-0 |
Oklahoma Sooners | 5-1 |
Texas Longhorns | 5-2 |
Oklahoma State Cowboys | 4-2 |
Texas Tech Red Raiders | 4-3 |
TCU Horned Frogs | 3-4 |
West Virginia Mountaineers | 2-4 |
Iowa State Cyclones | 2-5 |
Baylor Bears | 1-5 |
Kansas Jayhawks | 0-7 |
