The Baylor Bears shocked the college football world on Saturday night, when they upset the No. 1 Kansas State Wildcats, effectively ending Kansas State's hopes of playing in the BCS title game.
Fortunately for Kansas State and Wildcats fans, Bill Snyder's team is still in excellent position to win the Big 12 conference, and participate in a BCS bowl game.
The Wildcats still lead the Big 12 with a 7-1 conference record, and just one game remaining against the Texas Longhorns. If the Wildcats defeat the Longhorns, then Kansas State will capture the Big 12 title. If Texas wins, then the door is open for Bob Stoops' Oklahoma Sooners to be crowned Big 12 champions.
With two conference losses already, including a loss to Oklahoma, the Longhorns cannot win the Big 12 conference. Texas can finished second, however, if the Longhorns defeat both the TCU Horned Frogs and Kansas State in their final two games.
Texas' next contest will come on Thanksgiving night, when Mack Brown's team plays host to TCU.
