With a pair of dominating wins over Wyoming and New Mexico in their first two games of the season, the No. 14 Texas Longhorns have cruised into Week Three, where they'll meet an SEC opponent in the Ole Miss Rebels.
After a 2-10 record in 2011, head coach Houston Nutt resigned and the team hired Hugh Freeze to right the ship that had gone so far off course. So far, so good for Freeze as the Rebels easily defeated Central Arkansas and UTEP in their first two games.
Now the two teams that have yet to lose will face each other in the third week of the season, where the Longhorns are certainly the favorite. If quarterback David Ash can continue his streak of zero interceptions and avoid the relentless pass rush of the Rebels that has already earned nine sacks, Texas should be able to escape with their third straight win.
Game time/date: 8:15 p.m. CT, Saturday, Sept. 15
Location: Vaught-Hemingway Stadium, Oxford, MS
TV: ESPN
Odds: Texas opened as 12-point favorites and currently 10-point favorites.
Matchup History: Texas lead the series, 5-1
